The government, on many levels, has agreed that
land conservation is worth some public support. Landowners and land
trusts in Wisconsin can work through a number of state and Federal
programs. Some of these will support a land trust purchasing a conservation
easement, others are available to help pay for conservation-oriented
management.
Programs that will fund
land or easement purchases:
"Wisconsin's
history of conservation and community involvement provide fertile
ground for land trusts to develop and grow; people here care about
their land and want to see it protected."
