Register now for the 2018 Wisconsin Land Trust Conference!

March 8-10, 2018 at Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center, Onalaska

Join land trust staff and board members from across the state to develop strategies for communicating and advocating for the value of land conservation in Wisconsin. Participate in presentations and round-table discussions on priority topics to propel land conservation forward in Wisconsin. Opportunities will include the following, and more!

  • Work together to create captivating ways to communicate the value of land conservation.
  • Discuss strategies for the future of conservation funding.
  • Delve into financial management and best practices for monitoring at special workshops.
  • Tour the La Crosse River Conservancy, the first nature preserve of our host land trust, Mississippi Valley Conservancy – it’s right out back at Stoney Creek Hotel.
  • Bring your tastiest treat for the dessert potluck competition--a Retreat tradition since 2005, back again this year.

This will be the 18th annual! From 20 participants at early retreats, we’ve grown to a conference of up to 100. There are many options for learning, and still the "retreat" quality of networking and fun. You don’t want to miss it.

Early bird rates (through February 8): $150 member*, $200 non-member, $70 student

Add a Thursday workshop for just $25. See the program for two great options!

*Board and staff members of a Gathering Waters member land trust, and individual members of Gathering Waters are eligible for the member rate, a discount of 25% for the 2018 Conference.

A limited number of registration scholarships will be available by application for staff and board members of Gathering Waters member land trusts who would otherwise be unable to attend the 2018 Conference. Scholarship application deadline: Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Find out how to apply.

Participants are responsible for their lodging arrangements, however, we have negotiated a group rate at Stoney Creek of $95/night for single or double occupancy. Call 800-659-2220 to make your reservation in the "Wisconsin Land Trust Conference" room block. The cut-off date for this rate is February 8.
