Tall Pines Conservancy - Healthy Lakes Conference

Join us for the third annual Healthy Lakes Conference. Registration starts at 9 AM. Stephen Carpenter, professor at the UW-Madsion Center for Limnology, will open the conference talking about threats to our lakes. His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion. Panelists Brad Steckhart, Penny Lindquist, Bill Ingersoll, and Mark Frye will discuss "What's being done." The first afternoon session will cover forming, building, and sustaining a lake organization with local representatives from area lake associations. From 2:30 to 4:00 PM, attendees can choose from five outdoor educational events, including a tour of Lake Nagawicka, aquatic weed harvesting, clean boat instruction, lake monitoring, or visiting educational kiosks. The last event scheduled provides an opportunity for participants to network from 4 to 5 PM. Registration is $20 in advance or $25 the day of the conference. Register at: cleanwaterassociation.com.
