Houghton Falls Trail Maintenance and Kiosk Dedication

Join Bayfield Regional Conservancy at Houghton Falls Nature Preserve and trail on Saturday, June 17th to participate in a volunteer trail maintenance day in an effort to help keep the trails looking beautiful!  They will also be installing a brand new comprehensive sign at the trailhead, produced with the help of a generous donation from friends at Brickyard Creek Community north of Bayfield.

Butterflies and Wildflowers of Pleasant Valley

Pleasant Valley Conservancy is a beautiful state natural area situated in the Driftless Area, with steep goat prairies, oak savanna, and a large, high quality marsh. It is a joint preserve of the Savanna Oak Foundation and The Prairie Enthusiasts. This time of year we hope to see Baltimore checkerspots, wetland skippers, swallowtails, silvery checkerspot, fritillaries, and blues.

Pathway to Spirituality Hike

La Crosse Blufflands South – Hass Tract 8:00 AM
Join Mississippi Valley Conservancy hike leaders for a series of mediation type exercises.  Participants can take in the sounds and views of the area.  You will walk in silence for a few minutes, and think about how you feel connected to the earth, think back to when you might have had a breathtaking experience while in nature and meditate at the top of the overlook.  They hope to have everyone walk out of this hike feeling refreshed, energized and a having a sense of peace.
