AB 187 – Promoting access to Stewardship
Properties (support)
This bill creates a directory and an interactive
mapping tool of all land purchased under the Stewardship programs
that are open to the public.
The owner of Stewardship-purchased properties is required to post
signs along major access points. Information on the sign must
include indication that Stewardship funds were used to purchase
the land, public access information, restricted activities, and
land owner contact name or contact. Land trusts failing to post
signs on all Stewardship properties within four years will not
be eligible for Stewardship funds.
