On May 11, 2005, the Joint Finance Committee
(JFC) passed
Motion
442 to repeal the Comprehensive Planning "Smart Growth"
law and the $4 million in grants to help communities develop plans.
This motion was included in the version of the budget passed by
both legislative houses, but was vetoed by Governor Doyle in the
final version of the budget.
