Community Conservation Director – Ozaukee Washington Land Trust + River Revitalization Foundation

Ozaukee Washington Land Trust is seeking a passionate individual to serve as the Community Conservation Director. Beginning January 1, 2024, Ozaukee Washington Land Trust (OWLT) and River Revitalization Foundation (RRF) will be entering into a joint management agreement. Current RRF staff will join the OWLT personnel and together, they will hire additional team members to help shape their shared vision for protecting and stewarding shared natural resources. The Community Conservation Director will play a key role in this advancement.

The successful candidate will design, direct, and evaluate community coalitions, partnerships, and programs led by the land trust. This role is a core leader of the land trust and trusted with connecting people and communities to the land it stewards and restores. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional ability to identify and evaluate community conservation projects, ensure that funding opportunities for projects are pursued, and ensure that projects are completed with engagement by appropriate partners. The position will be stationed out of the River Revitalization Foundation office in Milwaukee and require frequent commuting to support community-building especially across Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and Washington Counties. Flexibility to work in a hybrid/virtual manner with frequency, subject to specific approval by Executive Director.
