Join Kettle Moraine Land Trust for a morning bird hike at Petersen Island Woods Preserve with Kevin Dickey, chapter president for the Lakeland Audubon Society. Kevin has been leading this annual hike for several years and participants always learn so much from his expertise.
Wear sturdy walking shoes, dress for the weather. Extra binoculars will be on hand, but feel free to bring your own. The group will use the Merlin Birding App to capture (electronically) observations on a hike in search of local birds. Get observation tips for identifying what you’re hearing and seeing. There will also be nature based birding activities for children and children at heart.
This free event is appropriate for all ages. Arrive at 8 am for check-in, coffee, and muffins. Please register in advance.
