Join the Door County Land Trust for a citizen science adventure at the Heins Creek Nature Preserve to search for aquatic creatures in the creek. Heins Creek drains out of Kangaroo Lake into Lake Michigan and is home to a host of species including salmon, trout, northern pike, frogs, salamanders, Belted Kingfishers, ducks, and the aquatic invertebrates that they all feast on. The adventure will include a short walk down to Heins Creek where the group will use aquatic sampling equipment to discover what is living there.
