August 14 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Join Northwoods Land Trust to explore bogs at Tower Nibiiwan Conservation Area.
Bogs are glacially created wetlands relatively common in northern Wisconsin. Hear from guest Susan Knight, Emeritus Scientist III at UW-Trout Lake’s Center for Limnology, about plants and unique adaptations required to live in this environment.
The hike will be approximately 1 mile in length over dirt trails, boardwalks, and stopping to step on bog surfaces.
This event is free. Register here, or contact the NWLT office at 715-479-2490 or troy@northwoodslandtrust.org by August 12. Space is limited.
This event is part of Wisconsin Land Trust Days. Learn more at HaveFunOutside.org.
