July 31 @ 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Come learn about Ho-Chunk tradition from Bill Quackenbush, Tribal Historic Preservation Officer. Bill will lead a group tour of a site important to the Ho-Chunk people: Kingsley Bend Mounds. The tribal government is in the midst of inspiring cultural preservation and restoration work.
The tour includes some easy hiking along asphalt and mowed paths, and will be held rain or shine. Be sure to check the weather in advance, bring shoes you aren’t afraid to get muddy, and a rain jacket, if needed.
This event is free. Space on the tour is limited to 30 people and will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Sign up today! Groundswell Conservancy looks forward to seeing you there!
This event is part of Wisconsin Land Trust Days. Learn more at HaveFunOutside.org.
