Join Landmark Conservancy to celebrate the permanent protection of two special properties in partnership with Bayfield County!
Learn about how both projects provide critical wildlife habitat and protect water quality of Lake Superior. Enjoy refreshments, a short program, and an optional hike at 4:30 p.m. with Mitch Baalman, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Refuge Biologist.
The optional hike will take place on a 0.75-mile trail near the visitor center that includes a level boardwalk, as well as graveled and grass covered portions. The group will see diverse wetland habitats such as a sedge meadow, mature cedar-tamarack, and black ash. This trail offers excellent birding and nature viewing opportunities. Please bring layers and dress for the weather.
Please RSVP by June 1.
