Paddle the Gile Flowage in Iron County while discussing ecology and geology along the way with Northwoods Land Trust.

The paddle starts at the boat landing at Gile Park. The 3,400-acre Gile Flowage was created by a dam on the West Branch of the Montreal River.

During the paddle, look at plants and animals, discuss federal licensing of the Gile Dam, and learn about some of the geological features of the area.

This event is free to participate, but participants need to provide their own watercraft, paddles, PFD, snacks and water. Expect to paddle 3+ miles.

Register here for the event or contact the NWLT office at 715-479-2490, or email troy@northwoodslandtrust.org. Participation is limited to 18 people.

This event is part of Wisconsin Land Trust Days. Learn more at HaveFunOutside.org.
