Wisconsin Land Trust Days unites our community around conservation. Join events across the state in July, August, and September.
Event registration is open through Friday, May 15. Gathering Waters staff are hard at work preparing the calendar of events, which will be mailed in mid-June.
About Wisconsin Land Trust Days
Wisconsin Land Trust Days is an annual celebration that unites our community around conservation. Land trusts across the state host events that highlight their work and the importance of preserving Wisconsin’s natural spaces. Participating helps support the statewide land trust community and underscores why land conservation matters.

Mid-June : Large-Format Calendar is in the Mail

Event Hosting Guide
Required Criteria
All Land Trust Days events must meet these criteria:
- Host or co-host is a Gathering Waters member land trust
- Event is open to the public
- Event dates: July 1 – September 30 (no exceptions)
- Promotional materials include Land Trust Days logo and mention the program
- Host completes post-event survey
Your Events
Beyond the required criteria, you decide:
Format
- In-person or virtual
- Fee or free to attend
- Unlimited or limited capacity
- Walk-ins or registration required (registration recommended for planning)
Event Type
- Hosted event
- OR self-directed adventure (submit maps, trail guides, property info for Gathering Waters promotion)

Calendar Mailing
All events registered before the deadline are included in a large printed Land Trust Days event calendar, which is mailed by Gathering Waters.
Your land trust can also mail the calendar, confidentially, to your own mailing list for just the cost of postage. Gathering Waters pays the printing and mail-fulfillment costs, and covers the postage for any addresses that also appear on our mailing list.
We appreciate when you mail the calendar to your list because it helps grow the audience of people learning about this annual series of events and the work land trusts do.
