Services
Land Conservation Law Program
The Land Conservation Law Program strengthens land conservation in Wisconsin by supporting attorneys and land trusts with training, practical tools, and legal guidance. Through education, model documents, and technical assistance, it helps ensure protected lands remain safeguarded for generations.
GIS Services
Gathering Waters provides member land trusts with access to a comprehensive geodatabase of protected lands in Wisconsin through ArcGIS. Access is available to members with an organizational ArcGIS subscription, with support provided for setup and limited access options for researchers and partners.
Resources & Toolkits
Gathering Waters created a set of resources available to land trusts to spread the word that land conservation is climate action.
This toolkit includes a variety of graphics and fliers, some of which can be customized for your organization.
Wisconsin Land Trust Days is an annual statewide celebration featuring public land trust events across Wisconsin from July through September. Participating land trusts receive promotional resources and support from Gathering Waters to help showcase conservation work and engage their communities.
Advocacy for Land Trusts
For over 30 years, the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program has protected Wisconsin’s lakes, forests, and wildlife while building the trails, parks, and boat launches that make this state worth loving. Now it’s at risk, and KnowlesNelson.org is your resource for staying informed and making sure Wisconsin lawmakers keep it that way.
