Support LWCF and Write a Note

Gibraltar Rock Ice Age Trail

Thank you for your interest in protecting our parks and natural areas.

We are looking for 900 Wisconsinites to write notes to our federal policymakers

The Land and Water Conservation Fund needs your help. It's due to expire on September 30, 2018.

The Land and Water Conservation Fund has invested more than $215 million in Wisconsin to protect many of our well-known destinations. The fund has been used to develop and preserve fishing holes, wooded areas, prairies, wetlands, and National and State parks.  Conservation of these areas ensure the natural spaces and scenic places that make Wisconsin special stay intact for future generations to enjoy.

An overwhelming number of people, regardless of political party, believe the protection of our natural areas and waterways is important for healthy air and water.

That's why we are asking for your help.

Research shows a handwritten and signed letter is the most effective way to show--and tell--your policymakers.

Your letter doesn't have to be long. It can be as short as a thank you note.

Tell them to "Vote Yes" to reauthorize and protect the Land and Water Conservation Fund on Senate Bills S. 569 and S. 896 and the House Bill H.R. 502.

Take 15 minutes, write your notes and send them to your policymakers.

Your efforts and the cost of a few stamps can give you a HUGE return on your investment. Reauthorization and protection of the LWCF ensures access to natural spaces, clean air, and fresh water for years to come.

And the best part, The Land and Water Conservation Fund is not related to your tax bill. The monies are generated through off-shore drilling fees.

When has it been this easy to make a difference?

We've given you the text for a few sample notes below.

Please join us. Post your accomplishment on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram using #900notes90days.

One message; many voices.

If you have friends and family who live outside of Wisconsin, you can encourage them to add their voices to yours and save the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

We would like our policymakers on Capitol Hill to hear 90,000 voices from across the United States between now and September 30, 2018. #90,000notes90days
