Trail Protection Manager – Ice Age Trail Alliance

The Trail Protection Manager plays a critical role in advancing the long-term vision of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail by securing and stewarding land along the Trail corridor. This position, which manages a small team, will execute land protection projects, manage relationships with landowners and partners, oversee the Alliance property monitoring program and data management systems for land protection, develop management plans and maintain infrastructure for Alliance-held properties, and support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with land trust standards.

Start date: June or July 2026
Location and travel: The position is based at the Alliance’s headquarters in Cross Plains
Compensation: $60,000-$65,000/year

The Ice Age Trail Alliance was founded in 1958 with the mission of caring for the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, one of only 11 such trails in the country.
