2025 Summer Internships – The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy – Wisconsin Chapter has several summer internship openings. Positions are located around the state. Find more information on each opportunity below.

Mukwonago Land and Agricultural Stewardship Intern – The Mukwonago Land and Agricultural Stewardship Intern will work with the Southeast Wisconsin Stewardship Coordinator, the Associate Director of Agricultural Strategies, and other staff members on programs aimed at maintaining habitat quality, managing preserves, and conducting agricultural research in the Mukwonago River Watershed. This is a full-time, 12-week summer internship position, expected to start on June 4th. The role requires 35 hours of work per week from June through September 2025. Door Peninsula Land Stewardship Intern – The Door Peninsula Land Stewardship Intern works with Nature Conservancy staff to participate in field work and land management, equipment and tool maintenance, and conservation easement monitoring. The position is based in the Northeast Wisconsin project office in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, 12-week summer internship position with an approximate start date during the first week of June. Urban Land Stewardship and Engagement Intern  – The Urban Land Stewardship and Engagement Intern will have a summer experience working on community-based conservation efforts happening in Milwaukee with a focus on neighborhood-based tree planting projects and other land stewardship and green infrastructure maintenance opportunities with TNC and its partners. Baraboo Hills Land Stewardship Intern – The Baraboo Hills Land Stewardship Intern participates in field work and land management, equipment and tool maintenance, and conservation easement monitoring. This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with land stewardship and learn about conservation. The position is based in the Baraboo Hills project office in Baraboo, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, 12-week summer internship position with an approximate start date of early June 2025.
