Cozy Nook Farm in Waukesha County will be permanently preserved through a conservation easement with Tall Pines Conservancy. The property, owned by the Oberhaus family, is a 139-acre farm with about 65 dairy cattle. Local residents may know the farm for its pumpkin patch in the fall and Christmas trees in the winter.
This easement is the first to be funded through a grant from the Wisconsin Farmland Protection Partnership via the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Regional Conservation Partnership Program with support from American Farmland Trust.
