The Call for Nominations for the 2022 Land Conservation Leadership Awards is open!
Nominations are due Friday, March 25, 2022
Gathering Waters’ Land Conservation Leadership Awards recognize the outstanding accomplishments of individuals and organizations working to protect Wisconsin’s special places, and offer inspiring examples of conservation success.
New Award Categories Announced This Year
We are excited to introduce two new awards for 2022: Land Trust Professional of the Year and Land Trust Volunteer of the Year. These awards celebrate the accomplishments of the hardworking individuals that support land trusts.
You will recognize some of the same awards from previous years, some with slightly different names: the Land Legacy Award, the Working Lands Preservation Award and the Harold “Bud” Jordahl Lifetime Achievement Award.
You may also notice a few awards previously offered are missing. In 2022, we decided to shift away from offering awards for Land Trust of the Year, Conservationist of the Year, and Policymaker of the Year.
How to Submit a Nomination
We encourage you to nominate individuals, families, organizations, or yourself!
Your nomination packet should include a completed Nomination Form, at least one Letter of Support, and any additional supporting materials you wish to include (optional).
There are three ways to submit a nomination. You can send it to us by snail mail or email, or submit a nomination using an online form. All nominations must be emailed, submitted, or postmarked by Friday, March 25, 2022.
