The Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation (CLCF) recently purchased two parcels of farmland in the Town of Polk, totaling about 34 acres. The acreage will be preserved as farmland as a way to maintain the rural landscape within the town.
“Conserving the Hassinger land and legacy was something that was important to me. Part of the reason I wanted to protect the land was for my dad, Walter Hassinger,” Jerry Hassinger explains. “He worked the land his whole life. It is a quiet and peaceful place, and I am very happy that it will remain that way in the future.”
