The Door County Land Trust protected 47 acres along the Ahnapee River in the Town of Forestville. This ecologically significant property features emergent marsh and includes river and streambank, wetlands, and a small former hayfield.
The land acquisition improves public access as the Ahnapee State Trail runs along the property.
Funding for the purchase of the land was supported in part by a grant through the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program.
