The Door County Land Trust (DCLT) plans to acquire a 24-acre Girl Scout camp property in Bailey’s Harbor, also known as Camp Cuesta. The camp has been owned by the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes (GSNWGL) since the 1960s.

The CEO of GSNWGL, Patti Shafto-Carlson, says, “Their [DCLT’s] commitment to preserving and maintaining the property aligns perfectly with our vision and values. This partnership ensures that Camp Cuesta will be a place where Girl Scouts and others can connect with nature, have meaningful outdoor experiences, and create lasting memories.”

The DCLT plans to raise $420,000 in donations to purchase the land.
