By the close of the polls (or shortly thereafter) on November 2nd, we’ll know the winners in the many contested races across Wisconsin. Whatever those outcomes, we will see a new face in the Governor’s office and in many legislative districts across Wisconsin. In a recent segment on Milwaukee Public Radio, four environmental organizations (including Gathering Waters Conservancy) were asked to weigh-in on the likely impact of the election on the environment. While none of us had a crystal ball the comments are worth hearing and pondering.
Gathering Waters Conservancy will continue to make sure elected officials understand and support the critical work of land trusts working to protect the places that make Wisconsin special.
