Join for a fun morning paddling on North Lake. Afterwards, enjoy a nature walk at Oconomowoc River Conservancy Park.
During the 9th Annual Paddle Event, explore the north end of North Lake and the three tributaries entering the east and west corners. Launch from the North Lake Yacht Club on Northwoods Dr. Check out the newly dredged mouth area of the Oconomowoc River and learn about lake ecosystems with naturalists from Schlitz Audubon.
At noon, enjoy a free lunch back at the launch area. Ample parking, picnic tables, and restrooms will be available at the launch. There will also be some kayaks available for rent.
Although this won’t be a cleanup event persay, there will be a surprise reward for the most unique item removed from the lake bottom.
For those of you who want more adventure, the group will proceed to the Oconomowoc River Conservancy Park after lunch for a prairie walk.
