Discover the exciting story of how a partnership between Door County Land Trust (DCLT) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) led to the creation of the Three Springs Nature Preserve in the North Bay State Natural Area. As one of the Great Lake’s most biodiverse areas, RAMSAR wetlands of international importance are found here.

Learn how thousands of acres of forests and wetlands have been protected by DCLT and TNC to protect critical habitat for hundreds of migratory and nesting birds, the Federally endangered Hine’s Emerald dragonfly, little brown bats, bobcat, fisher, fish, frogs, and other amphibians. Celebrate the success of our collaborative conservation work throughout the county as we hike and explore the plants and animals that call Three Springs Nature Preserve home.
