Join the Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance for a stroll that is filled with the evening sounds of nature. Frogs, toads, and evening-active birds are calling heartily this time of year, and because each species has their own unique sound, one can identify which species are present even without seeing them. This field trip is led by University of Wisconsin-Madison’s wildlife ecology faculty Jim Berkelman, who will share natural history information about the area, plants and animals sharing habitat, and the ecology of the bird and amphibian species we hear.

Registration for this even is required, and will be capped at 25 individuals. For more information and to register, please visit the Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance’s event page.

Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance will have binoculars for loan. The group also has one electric-powered wheelchair available for anyone to use for free.
