Enjoy scenic fall color overlooks and panoramic views during this 3-mile hike at Minocqua Winter Park.
During the event, guests will hike a 3-mile loop that visits the two highest points at the popular winter recreation facility. This trail is located within the 3,195-acre conservation easement currently held by NWLT, on land owned and managed by the Minocqua Winter Park Foundation.
At this time of year, bugs should be at a minimum and fall colors should be nearing their maximum! Scenic overlooks in the heavily forested, fairly flat part of northern Wisconsin are not all that common, so this should provide great panoramic views. Participants should be able to see parts of the Yukon and Squirrel River from various vantage points. This hike is rated as strenuous due to the vertical relief encountered.
Pre-registration is requested by Thursday, September 28. Space is limited for this free event. Register here.
