Popular all over the world, orienteering is a sport of navigation with map and compass. It’s for everyone, regardless of age or skill. The competitive athlete can move through the woods at top speed, while a contemplative orienteer can enjoy the forest at a more leisurely pace. Along with exposure to the sport, Wild Terrain Navigation identifies and creates custom maps for parks and recreation areas, forging relationships with land owners and managers. It’s all about enjoying amazing public lands while building confidence in navigation and map reading skills. Orienteering fosters independence and healthy lifestyles for kids & teens.

Join Will Dickinson, of Wild Terrain Navigation to learn how to orienteer and use the course that is set up in Baird Creek! No experience necessary.

Registration for this event is required. There is no registration fee. For more information and to register, please visit Baird Creek Preservation Foundation’s event page.

A flyer lists event details on the top half, with the lower half of the flyer showing a map key for the orienteering course.
