Oak savannas and woodlands once thrived in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, but little remains today. Private landowners can reverse this trend through thinning, clearing, burning, seeding, and other practices to revive oak stands and the bird and plant habitat they support.

Whether managing five acres or five-hundred, come learn from ecological restoration experts about the what, why, and how of oak ecology and restoration. Hear landowners’ stories about their restoration journey, and find technical and financial resources. Also see various stages of restoration in action at the Three Waters Reserve. Join the Seno K/RLT in collaboration with the Southern Wisconsin Land Conservancy, Sand County Foundation, and American Bird Conservancy for presentations, discussion, complimentary lunch, and a walking tour.

Registration for this event is required. For more information and to register, please visit Seno K/RLT’s event page.
