January 26, 2025 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Join the Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance to explore Fair Meadows Sanctuary and State Natural Area.
Look and listen for birds and mammals, and enjoy the vistas of the prairies and woodlands in the quiet of the season, hopefully covered in snow. Woodpeckers, Blue Jays, Dark-eyed Juncos, and more are all expected to make an appearance. If you’re lucky, you might see otter slides and other mammal tracks!
The route will be determined by snow depth and terrain to ensure participants feel safe and comfortable during the hike. Snowshoes are optional.
Approximate distance walked will be 3+ miles.
