Generous Donation of Land on the Wisconsin River

Dirt road in the middle of a forest.
Another wonderful piece of the Wisconsin River has been permanently protected. Groundswell Conservancy received a donation of land from Nancy Heiden, a founder of Groundswell Conservancy and lifelong conservationist on the south side of the river.

With Nancy’s permission, Groundswell will place a perpetual conservation easement on the property, which will limit development to a small house or cabin. The property includes 800 feet of shoreline and features a large “sand blow” habitat.

The property will be listed for sale later this year, with proceeds from the sale supporting Groundswell’s conservation work for years to come.
