Giving Tuesday 2023: Twice the Impact

A forest of green trees in beige fog with text overlaid thanking people for donating on Giving Tuesday.

The generosity of people like you who want to protect Wisconsin’s land, water, and wildlife is overwhelming. We are so thankful for the many friends who contributed to Gathering Waters on Giving Tuesday, which was November 28, 2023.

This year, Giving Tuesday donations for conservation totaled $12,581.20, plus $9,000 in matching dollars for a grand total of $21,581.20!

A special thank you to Marjie Tomter, Kristine Euclide, Douglas Steege, and an anonymous donor for providing $9,000 in Matching Challenge funds.

And thank you to all who donated! Your gift helps protect land, water, and wildlife all over the state by strengthening land trusts through:

  • Advocacy Services. Your gift informs people about the issues affecting conservation in Wisconsin and connects them with elected officials to share how important protecting land and water is for our state.
  • Land Trust Services. Your gift strengthens Wisconsin’s land trusts and ensures that land is protected forever.
  • Promotion of Land Trusts. Your gift introduces people to land trusts and helps them see the value of land conservation in their communities.

Your generosity will help give land conservation a strong start in 2024. Please take some time to get outside and enjoy some of the special places you have helped protect!

If you were unable to make a gift on Giving Tuesday, you can still make a difference for Wisconsin’s land, water, and wildlife with a special year-end gift.

On behalf of all of us at Gathering Waters, thank you for making Giving Tuesday 2023 a success!
