After an extensive, nationwide search, the Ice Age Trail Alliance has named Luke Kloberdanz as its next executive director and CEO.

Kloberdanz is currently serving as the Alliance’s director of philanthropy. He will succeed Mike Wollmer, who is retiring January 1, 2023, after 15 years leading the organization.

Kloberdanz has been involved with the Ice Age Trail Alliance since 2000 when he began volunteering at trailbuilding projects. He became the 11th person to through-hike the trail in 2003. After that, he co-created the Saunters youth education program at Lodi Elementary School where he was a teacher. By 2010, Kloberdanz began consulting with the Alliance on a part-time basis, and then was hired full-time as the outreach and education manager in 2013. Read his full bio here.
