Celebrating the Second Annual Land Trust Days

Thanks for making the second year of Land Trust Days a success!

Whether you planned, promoted, hosted, or attended events, we thank you!

Taking part in this statewide promotion builds awareness of the entire land trust community and the important work land trusts do.

Wisconsin Land Trust Days is building visibility and momentum! People traveled from Milwaukee to Minocqua and Washington Island to Baraboo to attend events this year.

Next year, we anticipate a boost when Discover Wisconsin features Land Trust Days on their television show, event calendar, and social media pages. We expect the episode to first air in June 2020.

Based on land trusts’ feedback so far, we know that 17 of the events welcomed a total of more than 1,400 participants. Nearly one-third of those people were new attendees. GO, TEAM!

Those numbers will be much higher when all of the results are in for this year.

Here are three actions you can take to keep the momentum going as we close the books on 2019 and look forward to Wisconsin Land Trust Days 2020!

  1. Stay tuned to see who wins the YETI Cooler. We will draw the winning entry on Wednesday, October 9.
  2. Share your thoughts with us. Please send us an email about your experience with Land Trust Days. Event hosts, make sure you complete the post-event survey. Your feedback helps us recognize Land Trust Days successes and to make improvements.
  3. Start making plans for next year. It’s not too early to start thinking about Land Trust Days 2020. What type of events would you like to see? Planning early can enable you to share your event as part of your year-end fundraising campaign and maximize your marketing message.

Participating in Land Trust Days helps the entire land trust community. We’re stronger together.
