Katie Krouse will take over the role of Executive Director at The Ridges Sanctuary on June 1, 2023. Katie has been with The Ridges for nearly nine years, serving most recently as assistant director.

Andy Gill will transition out of the Executive Director role into a supporting role leading master plan implementation and fundraising as part of a planned succession process.

Katie will be the first female director in the 86-year history of The Ridges Sanctuary, which is also Wisconsin’s first land trust.

“It is an honor to be recognized as the first female director of The Ridges Sanctuary,” Krouse said to the Green Bay Press Gazette. “However, I am just one individual following a suite of incredible women that have left their mark on The Ridges. Emma Toft, Olivia Traven, Anna McArdle, Mertha Fulkerson (formerly one of the leading advocates of The Clearing Folk School in Ellison Bay) are just a few names to note. I am in good company and am thrilled to continue as the next executive director.”
