We want to let you know that Gathering Waters is doing our part to spread optimism about the economy: despite seemingly constant news about grim national job statistics, we list open positions on the Land Trust Jobs section of our website, and there have been several great positions posted in recent months.
This one, in particular, is pretty important: the Wisconsin DNR is hiring a Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund Grant Manager to oversee and administer Stewardship grants to non-profits.
Want to work with land trusts all over Wisconsin to protect special places forever? Want to run a nationally-admired and impressive state conservation program? For 20 years, the Stewardship Fund has protected some of Wisconsin’s most treasured places. Want to help shape what Stewardship will do for Wisconsin in the next decade?
The Stewardship Fund is a national model for land protection that needs and deserves an strong and capable advocate in this important position, so please spread the word to anyone and everyone who may be interested and would be well-suited for the job. The job posting can be found here. The deadline is September 15.
If we’ve made you wonder, “hmmm… now that might be truly interesting…” and you’d like more information about the job, call our Government Relations Director Mike Carlson 608-251-9131 x 13 (or email carlson[at]gatheringwaters.org)
