The Ice Age Trail Alliance added a 1.7 mile path runs through Evansville. The new trail serves as a connector to the Gibbs Lake segment and is partly an urban route.
“An urban walk can be just as exciting as a walk through the woods,” Melissa Pierick, the alliance’s marketing director, said to Channel 3000. “It shows you different side of things and it puts you in touch with the communities. A lot of the communities you may otherwise not visit, you will visit because of the Ice Age Trail.”
