Standing Cedars Community Land Conservancy (Standing Cedars) purchased 10 acres of land in northwest Wisconsin. The former farmstead will be restored to more natural landscape, and also offers a chance for the all-volunteer organization to repurpose existing facilities into office space.
The land is surrounded on three sides by the Englewood property owned by Standing Cedars and on the fourth side by land protected through a conservation held by Landmark Conservancy.
The property includes a farmstead with buildings that will be repurposed to serve the group’s stewardship work. By having a dedicated base of operations, Standing Cedars hopes to make it easier for people to get involved.
