- Help build part of the Ice Age Trail
- Enjoy guided hikes
- Tour a farm
- Gaze at the stars on a guided night hike
- Collect seeds during a prairie walk
- Hike the La Crosse Blufflands
- Enjoy a cycling adventure with farm-to-table refreshments along the way
While you enjoy the activities, you’ll learn more about the importance of land and water conservation and work that land trusts do to ensure we have clean air and water.
Wisconsin Land Trust Days has something for everyone to enjoy!
There’s no age limit when it comes to enjoying the plant life, wildlife, and the beauty of Wisconsin’s natural spaces.
During Wisconsin Land Trust Days, you will explore some of Wisconsin’s natural treasures. You may even discover special places in your communities that you never knew existed. Places where:
- Groomed trails, stretching for miles, are carefully built and maintained by volunteers
- Boardwalks meander through wetlands to give people a closer look at the native birds, plants, and animals
- Native Wisconsin flowers and grasses wave in the wind on restored prairies
One of the best parts about visiting public places cared for by Wisconsin’s land trusts is that most of them are free to enjoy!
As you attend the event, land trust staff members and volunteers will be available to talk to you about the area, the work they do, and give you details about other events you can attend.
So we invite you to relax, refresh, and connect to the land as you explore some of the special places Wisconsin has to offer.
But we need to warn you… Getting outside and enjoying natural areas can be addicting. You may crave more outdoor experiences!
