North Central Conservancy Trust (NCCT) worked with community partners to add a new recreational boat dock at Bukolt Island to provide park visitors with safe and reliable access to the island.
The dock was celebrated at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 24, 2023. The project was made possible with a grant from the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin.
Bukolt Island opened to the public after NCCT purchased it in 2019 along with five acres on the mainland north of Bukolt Park. Since then, volunteers and community organizations have worked to revitalize the area and restore native plant species.
